My Experience Booking Luxury Escapes Maldives Vacation

This Luxury Escapes Maldives vacation was the first trip that made me want to get into points and miles. I think the 20+ hours flying in economy had something to do with that! So as you can guess, I didn’t use points and miles to book this trip. It was all paid for by me, and I used a travel company who added a lot of extra inclusions to make it worth it!

I booked Seaside Finolhu Maldives on Luxury Escapes and I am going to break it all down for you below! Let’s get started!

Luxury Escapes

Luxury Escapes is a travel company that offers luxury vacations, cruises, and tours around the world. They originated in Melbourne, Australia, and have been in business since 2013.

I did extensive research on this company to make sure they were legitimate and read through several reviews on websites from previous travelers. All to say, I couldn’t find anything to prevent me from using their services. I was very impressed with how easy it was to book our trip!

Destinations

Luxury Escapes offers several destinations to choose from including Bali, Thailand, Dubai, and Greece just to name a few.

If you know where you want to go, type it in their search bar and select it from their destinations list. You can also search by regions, such as Asia or Europe if you’re not sure which country you want to visit.

Maldives is one of their most popular destinations and you will find several hotel options when searching. I selected Seaside Finolhu Baa Atoll from the list, which opens up another page with all the details about this hotel. Look at those beautiful turquoise waters!

Inclusions

I chose to book my trip with Luxury Escapes because of the price and bonus inclusions. If you have ever researched a Maldives vacation, you will know it’s not just a flight to the airport and car service to your hotel. A lot of hotels are only accessible by speedboat and even some require a seaplane or domestic flight. So instead of booking all this separately, I used Luxury Escapes because it was all included in the package. See below the differences in their standard vs premium all-inclusive.

We decided to do the premium all-inclusive option so we could dine at the upgraded restaurants more than once. Another perk we used was ordering premium liquor and having the minibar in our room replenished daily. I would look over the differences and decide if it will be worth it for you!

Booking Process

The booking process is very easy and Luxury Escapes does a great job of letting you know what is included and what is not. They also include highlights of your hotel and fine print items to be aware of.

Room Availability

Once you select how many guests and your dates, you can check availability for the room type. Also note, you can search just for hotel availability or add your flights too.

If you choose to add your flight to the booking, you select which flight you want on the next screen. You can also select which class you want to fly. I would recommend booking it directly with the airline so you can earn loyalty points or miles. There is no discount when adding flights to your booking, it is solely just a convenience.

Payment Options

At the end of the booking, they will have a couple of payment options available. You can pay in full the day of booking, or you can choose to pay a deposit now, and the rest 60 days before your check-in. This is such a nice feature so you don’t have to pay it all up front!

Service Fee

A non-refundable service fee of 4.95% of the total purchase price will be charged at the time of booking. This fee applies to all purchases, so it’s important to consider it when comparing prices. While the bonus inclusions typically offset this fee, it’s always wise to itemize the costs and make comparisons.

Cancellation Policy

The following cancellation options are available with all bookings. Keep in mind the service fee mentioned above is not refundable.

Up to 7 days after purchase- 100% refund of the accommodation purchase price to your original payment method or credit (provided cancellation is made at least 14 days prior to check-in)

Up to 22 days prior to check-in- 100% refund of the accommodation purchase price to credit

From 21 days until check-in- Non-refundable

I had a very good experience when booking with Luxury Escapes. Booking a Maldives vacation can initially seem very daunting, with all the locations and transportation options.
